Great News- Brooklyn had her nasal cannula removed!! She is now breathing room air just like us. I ran into one of her nurses who took care of her when she got very sick, and she said, Linsey, with all Brooklyn went through and how she is doing now, she is a miracle baby- she is a strong, strong baby, and is such a miracle. All I can say is PRAISE GOD!!!He is truly doing a miracle in her! As I've said before, she still has a long way to go so please keep praying for her to continue having her foods increased and to digest them well, and for her bilirubin number to come down, showing that her liver is returning to normal so she can reach full healing soon. Thank you! She will also be going back into surgery in 3 to 4 weeks (or shorter or longer time frame than that) to reconnect the parts of her intestines where they cut before during the surgeries. So, we pray that God prepares her well for the surgery and that she also heals very well from it. She is now 5 pounds!!!

Bates had a good day today. They did a sonogram of his liver to make sure it was ok since his bilirubin number was high, and they said it looked normal- thank you, Lord! Hopefully, that number will decrease soon. He has been taking his feeds really well also the last few days, and has been more awake lately. Looking forward to having some fun interaction tomorrow with him- he wore his FIRST outfit today since he got his pic line out! Woohoo! I also gave him his first bath yesterday in a container. (:

Gracie, oh, Gracie- she had the entire room laughing today as Margaret, another nurse we love, and I were giving her a bath. We put her in the "bath tub" and within a minute we heard her fart so loud- not once, not twice, but 5 times! Yes, the nurses heard on the other end of the room. And, then, it happened... she went #2 in the bathtub. Hopefully, that was the first and last time that will happen. But, of course, I'm sure it's not. (:  Gracie had us cracking up. We cleaned up the problem, literally, and she enjoyed the rest of her bath- looking as cute as ever! We just talked to Grace's nurse and she said that Grace could come home as early as next week or the week after that!!! Wow! Time to buy bottles, wipes, diapers- lots to do- how exciting!

Grace acting innocent like she didn't do a thing in that bath of hers. (:

Grace yawning before her memorable bath time

                                                    Brooklyn without her nasal cannula!!!

                                                                Brooklyn fast asleep!

Yes, this is Brooklyn! how much do she and Grace look alike in this picture!?
