I will be taking Bates Wednedsay to the dr. to find out more about how hos eye is doing. Honestly, I am feeling a little anxious about it bc to me it looks worse, but the dr. said it takes two weeks to straighten, so praying it does so he doesn't need to go through that again. I am so proud of him for how well he is doing- he is so strong!!! So glad he has his sweet sisters to love on him and make him feel better too.

Sweet Mrs. Lynn asked about how my best friend, Bethany, is doing whose husband has been deployed the last 8 months. He's HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Frank came home Saturday, and we are SOOO grateful for Bethany's family and that he is home safely! Here are some pics. (:

The surgery went well. We will know in a few months how his eye alignment is. Thank you so much for your prayers!

Hi, everyone! Would love your prayers for Bates for this coming Wednesday, April 24th at 9am. Bates is having a second surgery on his eyes in hopes of straightening them. The last surgery made them 50% better, but they are hoping that this one will correct it completely so he won't need a third one. He will be sedated for the surgery, so please pray that goes well, and for accuracy of Dr. Ellis as he performs the surgery as well as for Bates to recover well. Thank you SOOOO very much. Your prayers mean the world.

B, B & G's 2 year appointment went really well. They are doing great!

Bates weighs 28 pounds, and is 35" tall (50-75th %ile)
Brooklyn weighs 27 pounds and is 34" tall (50th %ile)
Gracie weighs 21.6 pounds and is 32 1/4" tall (10th %ile)

While Gracie is our little peanut, she is growing steadily at her own pace. (: Notice I put 21.6- giving her credit for every ounce!)

Thanks again so much for your prayers for this week! I will let you know how it goes as soon as I can. Here is an updated pic of each of them. Have a great day!

And..... B, B & G are now 2!!! They turned 2 on April 1st. From about 2.5 pounds to over 20 pounds.

I can't believe it. We are so thankful for our little munchkins and the amazing miracles and blessings they are. We are so glad that our parents were able to fly up from Birmingham and Atlanta to celebrate it also!

We were planning on having a party, but then Grace ended up getting pneumonia. She is doing much better now and back to her normal self. I think part of a waffle was what she ate for every meal while she was sick. (: We still had fun giving them cookie cake, and were able to take them out for pizza- yes, their favorite food!

As the weather is warming up, we have really been enjoying soaking up the sun and watching the kiddos run around in our yard. I didn't realize what a blessing it was to have a yard (even if it is small), until now.

An update on their personalities:
Bates is now the shy one until he warms up (while some friends were over, I couldn't find him and finally found him hiding behind our buffet table in the dining room). Once he is comfortable, he is silly, lively, outgoing, jokester, sweet, easy going and gentle (that is, at times- he is ALL boy). And, yes, still a mama's boy. Brooklyn has become our most social one and is very outgoing. She is hilarious, cute, cuddly, passionate, independent and so much fun. And, yes, still a daddy's girl. Her laugh, smile and dimples will make you smile from ear to ear. Gracie has become more shy in large groups, but warms up pretty quickly. My friends know her most common phrase as "up please." She still loves to be held, will melt your heart with her smile. She giggles and runs in place when she gets excited, can be sneaky, is easy to get along with and is very gentle.

Here are some updated pics of Bates, Brooklyn & Gracie... (:
