Brooklyn is doing really well with her feeds right now- she is up to 26 cc's every 3 hours by bottle! She is still learning to pace herself as she would like to drink all the milk in one big gulp, but she is getting better every day with it! Her liver did actually show a few spots of cirrhosis, but the dr. said that when it is in babies, it's much different- that the liver is very resilient, and it's only like that b/c of being on TPN (an alternate to nutrition until they can be on full feeds). She expects that once she is on full feeds, the liver will be fully healed, so we are praying for that! We will find out in 2 weeks if she has another syndrome of the liver, which hopefully, she does not, but it also can be completely healed through time and full feeds. She is looking cuter and cuter every day!
Gracie is growing, growing, growing and doing well. Her pediatrician appointment went great. She weighed 8 pounds 1 oz.

Whew !!! What a great report to read this morning. I was beginning to imagine all sorts of possibilities but now I can just keep on praying for things to keep moving forward in Bates's recovery from surgery and also thanking the Lord for all He has done in getting these babies to this point. I pray blessings on the medical staff because He has certainly used them in a powerful way. As my sweet husband of 52 years celebrates his 78 birthday today, my heart is filled with gratitude and thanksgiving for the goodness of the Lord. Blessings, "Mrs. Lynn"
