So, the updates today... We had a wonderful time with the babies. Bates absolutely melted my heart today. He stared so intensely at me with his beautiful eyes for what seemed like forever. He is now bottle feeding one time every three hours 10 cc's- he gulped it down in about 30 seconds- he is SO ready to be eating more! Hopefully, they will be able to continue to increase his feeds daily. They said it takes time for the incision site to heal and for the skin to come together again (takes a week or two to begin that process), but praying it will heal quicker than normal! He weighs 7 pounds, 5 ounces!

Brooklyn's liver levels are still not where they need to be. It has been going up (they want the level low), and finally went down a tad bit today. They usually try to reconnect the 2 stomas (end of the intestines where the surgeon cut them) after 6 weeks, but it's been 7 weeks from her last surgery. They are waiting until her nutritional level is better and her liver is healthier before they reconnect them bc the Dr. said that he has seen babies digestive systems do much better if they have their 2nd "reconnection surgery" once their overall nutrition is better. Her xray came back and her intestines looked a little distended (inflamed)- praying they go down tomorrow, and look healthy and normal. Please also pray for her liver to get much better over the next few days and for her to absorb the milk better as well so she is able to have the reconnection surgery soon.  Thank you! This is such a long journey, but continuing to have faith in God completely and fully healing Brooklyn! She was SO sweet when we held her today, and is 5 pounds 14 ounces!

Gracie was so cute today and LOVES to be held. She is doing well, and is now 6 pounds 10 ounces!
