I know it's been a while since I've posted- I feel like we get busier and busier as the babies are getting bigger. B, B & G are getting SO big! 22 months old and 27 pounds, 25 pounds, and 20 pounds: Yep, Bates, Brooklyn & Grace's weight in that order. It was so much fun taking them to Atlanta and then Birmingham for Christmas. They LOVED running around the mall- since we were one on one they could run around- they are used to being in the stroller when it's just me.

They did so great at Cheescake Factory and it was so much fun getting to go out to lunch with them!

We have had this Christmas Party Christmas Eve for over 30 years, and it was SO special to have the babies experience it. One of the great traditions is having Santa come visit, and B, B & G were so excited to see him (in the picture above they are looking at him). Brooklyn tried crawling through the rails to touch him (Santa, aka "Brett, my brother"). (:

My sisters in law, Susan and Leslie, and sweet Dot.

 Christmas Morning.
B, B & G with their cousin Bell (My brother, Corey, and his wife, Susan's precious baby girl)

Having a blast opening presents- they especially loved the tissue paper.

I was able to also visit my grandmother which was a huge bright spot during my time there. Unfortunately, the video and pictures somehow erased, but hopefully wiull be able to find them and post soon.

On to Birmingham....
It was so much fun being able to be together with eveyone to celebrate Christmas and Christian's Grandma's 90th B'day!

We didn't pose this pic.- so sweet that they help hands on their own. (:

Gracie loved riding in Christian's Grandma's walker

Had to visit Krispy Kreme!

And, Back to Virginia...

I was so fortunate to be able to visit my best friend with Bates in California whose husband is deployed. She is 8 months pregnant with two kids so she is busy, busy. Her husband comes back in MAy and her baby girl is due in 3 weeks- please pray for Frank to return safely and quickly, and for a healthy baby and delivery. Thank you!
It was SO much fun being able to have that quality time together. It was quite an experience having Bates on my lap for the 5 1/2 hour trip in the airplane, but he did great. We averted several meltdowns with food and games on the i-phone.  I was very proud of him. He loved runnning through the airport and yelling out different letters and numbers when he saw the gates- it was very cute, and pretty funny how excited about them he was.

Bethany and me. We had so much fun visiting a vineyard in Cali- it was beautiful.

Kendall, Ben, Bethany, Natalie and Matt. Since Matt (Chrsitian's Brother) and his wife live in Cali right now also and are an hour away from Bethany we were able to have lunch together on base- it was great!

Daddy coming home from work!

  1. Thank you so much for posting pictures, they are changing so much. Gracie looks just like you Linsey, and Bates is a little Christian, I don't know who Brooklyn looks like but they are beautiful little people. Bet you have a fun filled day with them. Love the picture of them holding hands and the one of Bates praying. May God continue to bless each of you and keep posting pictures I love to watch how they are growing, can't believe they are almost two. Love to each of you. Rhyda

  2. What a delightful surprise to find your latest update with all of the wonderful pictures that tell the story of what your family has been doing during the holidays and afterwards. The children are growing so fast and I know they are experiencing something new and interesting every day. When I think of the goodness of the Lord concerning each of these precious children, it floods my heart with joy. God bless each of you and may He continue to keep you in His care. Lynn Everett
